Ballet

The fundamental technique, Ballet equips the dancer with the ability and strength to tackle any other style.  It develops poise, strength and flexibility.  Students can study this from 3 years and is taught with tap.

Tap

Encompassing a jazz style, tap develops rhythm, coordination and a sense of timing.  This subject is taught with ballet from 3 years.

Freestyle / Street

From stage musicals such as Grease, to true Disco ‘Saturday Night Fever’ style, to funky Street moves as seen on MTV!  This is a fun, creative class, developing the child’s own choreography skills and focusing on strength and flexibility. As the students get older they can move from the Disco syllabus to the Street

Modern Jazz/ Contemporary

Modern Jazz are integrated into younger classes to develop the students' imaginations and to give them new ways of moving. Contemporary is taught as a separate class for 9yrs+ which looks at muscle and body isolations and are a way of consolidating the student’s overall ability by means of strength and flexibility.  It is strongly recommended that anyone taking Ballet at Grade One or above attend Contemporary. Exams are not taken in these subjects.
